The president of BiH’s Republika Srpska (RS) entity, Milorad Dodik, stated on Friday that the unofficial document from Germany and France, which proposes sanctions against RS and its leadership, will deepen the crisis in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
“Instead of channeling energy and willpower into realistically assessing the situation, its causes and consequences, and the devastation of an already fragile democratic capacity by international actors, Germany and France have taken a shortcut and used force. Neither has historically yielded results in BiH,” Dodik wrote on the social network X.

Dodik said he is convinced that “if comprehensive attention were devoted to BiH in the interest of the country itself, and not for internal political needs… a solution would be found through dialogue with domestic political representatives.”
