RS National Assembly Votes for Referendum on State Court – BalkanInsight

“The National Assembly of Republika Srpska, Bosnia’s predominantly Serb entity, approved a proposal put forward by Republika Srpska President Milorad Dodik to hold a referendum on the state-level war crimes court, and on the “anti-constitutional laws and activities of the High Representative in Bosnia”.

The proposal was adopted late Wednesday night with 66 votes in favour and 10 votes against, after a debate that lasted more than ten hours.

The question on the referendum, whose date has not yet been set, will read: “Do you support laws imposed by High Representative in Bosnia, in particular the laws on Bosnia’s state court and prosecution?”.”
