In a 13-page article examining the U.S. interest in BiH, Joseph E. Schmitz and Brian T. Kennedy argue, “with the appointment of an American Acting High Representative on July 1, 2026, it’s time for the tyrannical Bonn Powers of the Office of High Representative, under which hundreds of ‘Acts of pretended Legislation,’ to quote our July 4, 1776, Declaration of Independence, have issued, to be declared ‘Void ab Initio,’ i.e., void from the beginning, as if they never existed.” Once that happens, the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina will be able to determine their own future, and Americans will be able to invest in a friendly European country.”
