On the social media site X, the Serb member of the BiH Presidency, Željka Cvijanović said:
We absolutely support the efforts of the U.S. administration aimed at reaffirming the sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
We are grateful to officials of the United States of America for their efforts to promote local solutions, internal dialogue among the constituent peoples, and the full responsibility of democratically elected institutions at all levels of government in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The Republic of Srpska is in full agreement with this approach.
Cvijanović added:
We believe that the role of the High Representative must be returned to Annex 10 of the Dayton Agreement, until its complete abolition, and the so-called “Bonn powers,” which represent an obstacle to internal dialogue and one of the key sources of political crises in Bosnia and Herzegovina, must be immediately removed from the political life of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
It is high time for Bosnia and Herzegovina to cease being an experiment in international administration and to become a state in which decisions are made exclusively by democratically elected representatives of the constituent peoples at all levels of government, in accordance with the Constitution as defined within the framework of the Dayton Agreement.
