Bosnia Convicts Former State Prosecutor in Embezzlement Case – BIRN

The Court of BiH on Tuesday sentenced Bozo Mihajlovic, a former head of the Special Department for Organised Crime, Economic Crime and Corruption at the BiH Prosecutor’s Office, to a five-year prison term for malfeasance in office.

The first-instance verdict found him guilty on ten counts because he failed to properly supervise his assistant and typist who embezzled some 226,000 Bosnian marks (about 115,000 euros), which had been temporarily seized as part of investigations from 2006 until 2015.
