EFT wins tender to build, operate 60 MW solar plant in Bosnia – Reuters

Energy Financing Team (EFT), a power trader and operator, announced Tuesday that it had won a tender to build and operate a 60-megawatt capacity solar plant in Republika Srpska.

Following the tender, launched in March, a contract should be signed with the Energy Ministry of Bosnia’s autonomous Serb Republic in mid-July, EFT’s spokeswoman told Reuters.

The Serb Republic is aiming to add 1,000 MW of renewable energy sources by 2029 as it reduces its use of coal, which accounts for more than 60% of Bosnia’s power, as part of Bosnia’s aspirations to join the European Union.
