RS to Revise Rules for Cooperation with SIPA – Bosnia Today

Following the Republika Srpska government’s decision last week to suspend cooperation with SIPA and the BiH Court and Prosecutor, RS and BiH officials met in Banja Luka today to discuss a way forward. RS Interior Minister Dragan Lukac and RS police chief Gojko Vasic met with BiH Minister of Security Dragan Mektic and SIPA director Perica Stanic, to begin drafting a revised agreement on interagency cooperation and coordination.

“It was agreed that the existing agreement on operational cooperation and coordination will be revised and more precisely defined. The future cooperation in the fight against terrorism will also be agreed,” statement from the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs reads.

The agreement will be agreed and signed next week by the RS Police director and director of SIPA, in order to enhance efficiency and coordination in future cooperation.

In a press statement, the RS government expressed its support for the meeting, and ordered RS officials to finalize the new agreement as soon as possible.
