OHR calls for compromise in Mostar – Oslobodenje

High Representative Valentin Inzko criticized the mayor of Mostar for announcing a city budget without the approval of other leaders, but acknowledged that the mayor’s intentions were good.

“Probably Mayor Beslic was motivated by a desire to ensure the functioning of the city and help families that count on salaries and services that the city provides. At the same time, declaring a budget is the latest in a series of unilateral steps that parties have taken in Mostar. The High Representative warned that this act could additionally deepen the legal ambiguities in Mostar,” the OHR told Fena today.
