Bosnia Entity Votes No Confidence in Govt – BalkanInsight

The majority coalition in the Federation has finally taken a step toward their months-old goal of removing opposition members from the entity government. The lower house of the FBiH assembly passed a vote of no confidence in the government. The measure must now be taken up by the House of Peoples.

The vote was the work of the new parliamentary majority comprising the Social Democratic Party, SDP, the Alliance for a Better Future, SBB, the Croatian Democratic Union, HDZBiH, and its sister party, HDZ1990.

The coalition has been seeking to dismiss half of ministers of the entity government since May last year.

Following the vote, the United States embassy and the EU delegation to BiH announced the end of their efforts to assist in government restructuring in the Federation.
