Wartime Police Commander Charged with War Crimes – BIRN

On Thursday the BiH Prosecutor officially charged four former Sarajevo police officers with war crimes stemming from the execution, in 1992, of eight JNA soldiers. Among the men charged is Dragan Vikic, “the wartime commander of Bosnian interior ministry special police units.” According to the charges, Vikic bears command responsibility for the killings, but did not carry them out himself.
