USAID and the Swedish International Development and Cooperation Agency (Sida) are working with a number of RS government agencies and wood processing companies to introduce international standards into Republika Srpska’s wood industry. Standards compliance is an essential first step to bringing Bosnian-made products to the European market. The effort is part of the joint USAID-Sida Fostering Interventions for Rapid Market Advancement (FIRMA) project, designed to jump-start the wood processing, manufacturing, and tourism sectors.
