RS Parties Approve Referendum on Holiday – SRNA

The RS National Assembly voted unanimously today to organize a referendum on the entity’s national holiday. Last year the BiH Constitutional Court issued a decision calling the holiday discriminatory toward non-Serbs. The verdict had the support of the Court’s Bosniak and foreign judges, who often outvote the Serb and Croat members of the Court.

Bosniak members of the RSNA boycotted today’s session; the remaining members all approved the plan to hold a referendum on September 25.
