Radoncic Arrested for Interfering with Judiciary – BalkanInsight

Media mogul and SBB party chief Fahrudin Radoncic was arrested on Monday by SIPA officers. The BiH Prosecutor’s Office said that Radoncic is suspected of interfering with the judiciary, but gave no further details. Several raids were carried out in connection with the arrest, including one at the offices of Dnevni Avaz, a newspaper owned by Radoncic. The arrest is most likely connected to the trial of Naser Kelmendi, being carried out in Kosovo.

Two weeks ago, the Bosnian prosecution ordered the arrest of another politician from the SBBBiH, Bakir Dautbasic on suspicion of influencing the deposition of a Bosnian citizen, Azra Saric, during the drug-trafficking and murder trial of alleged drugs baron in Naser Kelmendi in Pristina.

Dautbasic is suspected of intervening to protect Kelmendi and Radoncic, and has been remanded in custody.

Radoncic has dismissed claims that he was implicated in the Kelmendi case as “political fabrication”.
