Federation MPs Approve New Power Plant – BalkanInsight

The Parliament of the Federation voted yesterday to support a plan to build a new 450-megawatt power plant in Tuzla. The project is expected to be one of the largest in BiH’s recent history, and will contribute to BiH’s status as a leading exporter of electricity.

According to the Federation-owned company Elektroprivreda BiH, several foreign companies are interested in bidding for the job of building the plant. Elektroprivreda will contribute 15% of the project budget, the remainder of which will be paid for with a loan from the export-import bank of China.
